For all dogs completing Puppy or Basic
Adventure Dog is a hands-on outdoor training class. In this class we focus on socialization. You will learn how to keep your dog attentive to you at all times during all exercises. (Even in highly distracting environments!) We will focus on all of our basic obedience. In addition we will work on teaching your dogs not to jump up on people, chase bikes, roller blades or any other behavior that keeps your pet from being a joyful companion.
The goal of this class is to have well balanced dogs that are a pleasure to take walking, jogging, hiking,
camping, boating or many other outdoor activities.
What is a well balanced dog?
A well-balanced dog is a dog that you can take into any situation and he she will be well behaved and
obedient - no matter what the distractions are!
In this class we will be meeting at a different place each week. Activities will include walking and light hiking along an easy trail.

I am an evaluator for the AKC CGC program. This six week course covers each of the 10 steps required to pass the test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program. Testing available the last day of class. For a closer look at the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program please click here.
This six week class is the next steo after Intermediate class. Rally is a fun class inspired by the American Kennell Club. Quoted from the AKC website; "AKC Rally is the new dog sport that is taking the nation by storm, a successful stepping stone from the AKC Canine Good Citizen program to the world of obedienceor agility. Rally offers both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and energizing. The canine team moves at their own pace, very similar to rally style auto racing. Rally was designed with the traditional pet owner in mind, but it can still be very challenging for those who enjoy higher levels of competition." To learn more click here to go to AKC.org
This 6 week course covers more socializing and proper greeting habits. We take the needed steps towards off-leash heeling. Timed stays, one minute sit and three minute down stay. Our recalls (come when called) are on a long lead, or in controlled environments, off-leash. Your dog will learn to "down" immediately whenever you ask. In addition, to all this we bring in more distractions! For example, we will put treats on the floor during their exercises, and they will learn to "leave it" until you say it's "ok", plus much more.
For people who wish to walk two dogs on one leash.
